The effect of long-term Maresha ploughing on soil physical properties in the Central Rift Valley of Ethiopia

▶ Soil evaporation after rain events increased with long-term Maresha cultivation. ▶ Infiltration rate of the surface soils increased soon after land use conversion. ▶ A weak decreasing trend in the infiltration rate seemed to occur with long-term cultivation.
