Salivary alpha amylase and cortisol levels in children with global developmental delay and their relation with the expectation of dental care and behavior during the intervention

► We analysis marker of physiological stress between GDD and healthy children. ► We compared marker of physiological stress with behavior scale in GDD children. ► GDD children showed higher levels of sAA prior to dental treatment. ► Healthy children showed higher levels of sAA prior to dental treatment. ► GDD children with more favorable behavior during dental care had lower sAA levels.
