▶ UK services for people who present severe behavioural challenges are reviewed. ▶ Very few recent evaluations were found. ▶ Specialist congregate services seem to use more restrictive practices. ▶ There is limited positive evidence for community and peripatetic services. ▶ Research on both has limitations, making results hard to generalise.
