Effect of a static magnetic field on formaldehyde biodegradation in wastewater by activated sludge

► Impact of a static magnetic field of 7 mT on formaldehyde biodegradation was determined. ► MF increases biodegradation efficiency of wastewater with 2400-2800 mg FA/l by 30%. ► TTC test did not allow an evaluation the impact of FA on the enzymes of the process.
