Biological denitrification using cross-linked starch/PCL blends as solid carbon source and biofilm carrier

► Cross-linked starch/polycaprolactone (SPCL11) was prepared and used for denitrification. ► The formation of NH4-N was observed but usually its concentration was below 1.0 mg/L. ► An initial excess release of DOC was detected, but finally DOC kept stable in effluent.
