pH-control modes in a 5-L stirred-tank bioreactor for cell biomass and exopolysaccharide production by Tremella fuciformis spore

► Three pH-control modes in submerged culture of T. fuciformis spore were evaluated. ► A pH-stat mode is a more efficient way of carrying out the fermentation process to increase EPS production. ► The three-stage pH control strategy is effective for cell growth.
