Integrating photobiological hydrogen production with dye-metal bioremoval from simulated textile wastewater

► Continuous H2 production by cyanobacterium in free and bound form is studied. ► H2 production in photobioreactors is more by bound cells than free cells. ► Biomass waste from the bioreactors is reused as biosorbent in immobilized form. ► Integration of bioenergy production and wastewater treatment is proposed. ► First report on continuous H2 production cum bioremediation of wastewater.
