Biodiesel synthesis and conformation of lipase from Burkholderia cepacia in room temperature ionic liquids and organic solvents

► Biodiesel production by the lipase from Burkholderia cepacia (BCL) was investigated in 19 different ionic liquids (ILs). ► Influence of 5 different organic solvents on biodiesel synthesis by BCL was also evaluated as references. ► Relationship between conformation and activity of BCL by FT-IR was elucidated in the above-mentioned ILs and organic solvents.
