Effect of different supplements on bioprocessing of wheat straw by Phlebia brevispora: Changes in its chemical composition, in vitro digestibility and nutritional properties

► Phlebia brevispora was used to degrade wheat straw under solid state conditions. ► Effect of supplements and optimization of their concentration was established. ► The process was successfully scaled up from 5 g to 200 g under optimized conditions. ► Selective lignin degradation, enhancement in IVD and nutritive quality was achieved.
