Effect of lignocellulosic inhibitory compounds on growth and ethanol fermentation of newly-isolated thermotolerant Issatchenkiaorientalis

► A new thermotolerant yeast strain was isolated for lignocelluloses-to-ethanol production at 42 °C. ► This strain has high ability to tolerate lignocellulosic inhibitory compounds. ► The stain showed great performance on ethanol production from enzymatic hydrolysate of steam-exploded stalk.
