Superhydrophobic surface-based magnetic electrochemical immunoassay for detection of Schistosoma japonicum antibodies

► A superhydrophobic surface-based analytical platform is fabricated for developing a new magnetic electrochemical immunoassay. ► This platform enables a high efficient mixing of a small-volume reactant suspension solution with a low-rate shaking. ► A single immunoreaction step only requires ∼10 μl of bioreagents and samples and can be finished in ∼20 min. ► This superhydrophobic platform can be reused for over 300 measurements.
