Blood CADPS2ΔExon3 expression is associated with intelligence and memory in healthy adults

► CADPS2 mediates monoamine transmission and neurotrophin release. ► Blood CADPS2ΔExon3 (a defective CADPS2 variant) expression is associated with autism. ► We examined the association between blood CADPS2/CADPS2ΔExon3 expression levels and intelligence/memory of healthy adults. ► CADPS2ΔExon3 positive subjects had lower verbal IQ and lower verbal memory.
