Impaired engagement of the ventral attentional pathway in ADHD

► ADHD adults performed a visual Go/NoGo task during combined ERP and MEG measurements. ► ERPs revealed abnormally small late positive components in ADHD adults. ► With MEG the LPC activation was localized bilaterally in the posterior temporal cortex. ► LPC and temporal cortices are involved in stimulus-driven attentional processing. ► The engagement of this stimulus-driven reorienting system is defective in ADHD.
