Inter-professional electronic documents and child health: A study of persisting non-electronic communication in the use of electronic documents

► In Finland and England, professionals persist to make use of non-electronic communication while using electronic documents. ► Electronic documents are complemented by letters, phone calls, alternative documents and professionals' personal notebooks. ► Non-electronic communication is used to criticising other agencies and sharing preliminary and delicate observations. ► ICT design needs to acknowledge additional articulation work that enables electronic documents to operate successfully.
