Predictors of and health services utilization related to depressive symptoms among elderly Koreans

► We present recent epidemiology of late- depression among Korean elderly. ► Most risk factors except lower weight were consistent with reports from Western countries. ► Depressive symptoms in elderly are associated with less frequent receipt of screening chronic diseases. ► This missed screening opportunity can lead to the development of medical comorbidities of late-life depression.
