About the modified Gaussian family of income distributions with applications to individual incomes

► The probabilistic and statistical properties of the modified Gaussian distribution are studied. ► We have obtained closed formulas for probabilistic functions and inequality measures. ► Two estimation methods have been proposed. ► We have fitted individual incomes of Spain for three years, concluding a static pattern of inequality.
