Load balanced diffusive capture process on homophilic scale-free networks

► A load balancing version of the biased diffusive capture process is proposed. ► We propose a network generation model to create scale-free networks with embedded community structure. ► Community structure is employed to balance the traffic of high degree nodes. ► We show that the traffic on top hubs belonging to different communities is evenly spread.
