Non-extensive statistical entropy, quantum groups and quantum entanglement

► We explore a new connection between quantum groups and Tsallis entropy. ► We determine the q-entropy using a SUq(2) invariant Hamiltonian. ► The entropic parameter q is identified with the deformation parameter of SUq(2). ► A q-entropic sufficient criterion for entanglement to Werner state is obtained.
