Assessment of the Lines of Torres Vedras defensive system with visibility analysis

► A defensive system of 19th century and its visual communication were modelled. ► Hillforts and the visual telegraphy layout were modelled in GIS. ► Viewshed and cumulative viewshed were used to assess the system's coherence. ► An essay on the possibilities of improving the system was made. ► Produced data is usable in predictive analysis.
