Moments of order statistics and L-moments for the symmetric triangular distribution

We obtain compact forms and recommend computationally efficient expressions for the moments of order statistics from the symmetric triangular distribution. We provide large sample moment approximations for the sample minimum and discuss the properties of L-moments. We also apply our results to a problem in smart communication networks.
