Characterization of calcium ion sensitive region for β-Mannanase from Streptomyces thermolilacinus

► Ca2+ sensitive regions of β-mannanase are investigated by using chimeras between StMan and TfMan. ► Thermal stabilities of StMan and TfMan are enhanced by Ca2+. ► The hydrolysis activity of StMan is enhanced by Ca2+.
