Phenylethanoid glycosides as major antioxidants in Lippia multiflora herbal infusion and their stability during steam pasteurisation of plant material

► Lippia multiflora herbal tea is a good source of phenylethanoid glycosides (PhGs). ► PhGs constituted ca 15% of the hot water-soluble solids. ► Verbascoside was present in the highest concentration. ► Steam pasteurisation of the leaves did not affect the PhG content of the infusion.
