Antioxidant properties and chemical composition of technical Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (tCNSL)

► Cardanols are the major constituents of technical Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (tCNSL). ► tCNSL showed dose dependent antioxidant activity against DPPH and xanthine-oxidase. ► tCNSL protected oxidative stress in S.cerevisiae exposed to paraquat or H2O2. ► tNCSL may be used in nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries.
