Microwave assisted extraction combined with dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction as a sensitive sample preparation method for the determination of haloanisoles and halophenols in cork stoppers and oak barrel sawdust

► We combined the advantages of MAE and DLLME to develop a new pre-treatment method. ► We determined cork taint responsible compounds in two solid enological materials. ► Experimental design allowed the determination of the optimal MAE-DLLME conditions. ► The proposed method achieves suitable detection limits, recoveries and precision.
