Characterisation of potential health promoting lipids in the co-products of de-flossed milkweed

► High levels of milkweed co-products are generated from producing comforters/pillows. ► Both co-products (seed meal /pod biomass) contain potential health promoting lipids. ► Seed meal is particularly high in sterols, vitamin E, and fatty acids. ► Omega 7 fatty acids, vaccenic and palmitoleic, are present in both co-products.
