A rapid multi-residue method for the determination of pesticide residues in choi sum, yardlong beans and aubergines

► Modified QuEChERS method was developed for 19 pesticides in three local vegetables. ► Choi sum and aubergines contain high chlorophyll, pigment and coloured compounds. ► Modified method showed high sensitivity, good repeatability, good recoveries. ► PSA omitted in extraction, cleanup with Pasteur pipette packed with PSA/silica gel. ► Extract contain reduced matrix interferences, colour and applied to real samples.
