α- and γ-Mangostin inhibit the proliferation of colon cancer cells via β-catenin gene regulation in Wnt/cGMP signalling

► This is first report elucidating the mechanism of mangostins against Wnt signalling. ► Mangostins decrease β-catenin via repressing its transcription not its degradation. ► The regulation of β-catenin is due to regulation of cGMP and PKG by mangostins.
