Antifungal activities of triterpenoids from the roots of Astilbe myriantha Diels

► 95% ethanol extract from Astilbe myriantha Diels showed inhibitory activity. ► Compound 7 was the main active ingredient against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. ► Compound 7 displayed broad-spectrum inhibitory activities against tested fungi. ► Compound 1 was found to be a new triterpenoid, which possesses six rings.
