Water-balance dependencies for forecasting the melt water runoff in the south of the West-Siberian Plain

We have obtained the equations for forecasting the runoff during the spring freshet taking into account the thawing of the frozen soil. We have implemented a technique for estimating their parameters through a combined use of the linear regression method and the optimization method. The water-balance characteristics for the spring freshet, and the parameters of water-balance dependencies vary with the landscape-hydrological conditions of the territory, and primarily with the heat and moisture availability conditions for the territory.
