Regional atmospheric processes and dust pollution of the Mt. Belukha glacier

An analysis is made of the meteorological conditions and of the formation sources of solid particles (dust) which are visually recorded in the layers of the ice core sampled by the joint Russian-Swedish expedition in 2001 in the saddle of Mt. Belukha of the Altai mountain massif (Katunsky Range).
