Mining-induced ground subsidences as the relief-forming factor on the territory of the Silesian Upland (Southern Poland)

An analysis is made of the ground subsidences as a consequence of coal mining in Southern Poland. Subsidences promote rapid changes in the relief, which is confirmed by the use of the cartographic method.
