Effects of dietary α-lipoic acid enantiomers on hepatic fatty acid metabolism in rats

► S- and R-α-lipoic acids decreased the parameters of hepatic lipogenesis in rats. ► S- and R-α-lipoic acids lowered serum and liver lipids except for liver phospholipid. ► S- and R-α-lipoic acids were indistinguishable in altering these parameters.
