Proteomic analysis of a rat pancreatic stellate cell line using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)

► Proteomes of activated and non-proliferating PaSC were investigated. ► Using GeLC-MS/MS, we identified nearly 1500 proteins expressed in PaSC. ► Differentially abundant proteins were identified between two cell states. ► In activated PaSC, isoforms of actin and ribosomal proteins were relatively more abundant. ► In non-proliferating PaSC, signaling proteins were relatively more abundant.
