Analysis of the nuclear proteome of the resurrection plant Xerophyta viscosa in response to dehydration stress using iTRAQ with 2DLC and tandem mass spectrometry

► The nuclear proteome of the desiccation tolerant plant Xerophyta viscosa was investigated in response to dehydration. ► 122 nuclear proteins were identified of which 22% were over-abundant in response to dehydration. ► Nuclear proteins involved gene regulation, trafficking, cellular reorganization, metabolism and other cellular processes.
