MRM assay for quantitation of complement components in human blood plasma - a feasibility study on multiple sclerosis

► An MRM assay was developed for quantitation of proteins associated with inflammation. ► We have utilized a linear ion trap mass spectrometer for this quantitative work. ► We were able to quantify 5 of the 7 target proteins in depleted plasma digests. ► We have analyzed a small sample cohort from multiple sclerosis patients.
