Differential regulation of OmpC and OmpF by AtpB in Escherichia coli exposed to nalidixic acid and chlortetracycline

► We investigate the difference of E. coli to nalidixic acid and chlortetracycline. ► Upregulation of OmpC and downregulation of OmpF were detected to nalidixic acid. ► Downregulation of OmpC and OmpF formed a characteristic feature to chlortetracycline. ► The differential expression of OmpC was regulated by AtpB and CpxR.
