OMICS-based exploration of the molecular phenotype of resident cardiac progenitor cells from adult murine heart

► Undifferentiated Sca-1+ cells were characterized by proteomics and transcriptomics. ► They possess distinct phenotype compared to cardiomyocytes and Sca-1 negative cells. ► Our study provides an inventory of surface, plasma membrane and intracellular proteins characterizing Sca-1 positive cells.
