An optimized predictor panel for colorectal cancer diagnosis based on the combination of tumor-associated antigens obtained from protein and phage microarrays

► We optimize a panel of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) previously identified for colorectal cancer diagnosis. ► All pairs of TAAs were analyzed for redundancy and diagnostic accuracy. ► A panel composed of 4 proteins and 3 phages reached high specificity and sensitivity for diagnosis (AUC: 0.94). ► The predictive value was 0.90 for early stages.
