A novel capture compound for the identification and analysis of cyclic di-GMP binding proteins

► A c-di-GMP capture compound as a novel chemical scafold was introduced in this study. ► The cdG-CC was used to validate c-di-GMP binding to known domains. ► In combination with mass spectrometry a catalog of c-di-GMP effectors was assembled.
