High yield fabrication of vertical interdigital electrodes with sub micrometer distance and their application in an organic photovoltaic device

► New method to fabricate vertical, interdigital electrodes of different materials (nanoelectrodes). ► Substrates are transparent and flexible (PMMA) and electrode distance is approx. 300 nm. ► The method tolerates topographical defects and is highly reproducible. ► Organic solar cells (P3HT:PCBM) were built with these nanoelectrodes. ► From optical simulations it can be concluded that the majority of the electrodes are intact.
