Platinum decorated aligned carbon nanotubes: Electrocatalyst for improved performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cells

► High performance of the PEMFC devices under the oxidative atmosphere achievable using Pt-decorated aligned carbon nanotubes (CNT) over traditional Pt/carbon catalysts. ► Decrease in Pt loading fulfilling a current deficiency in the manufactory expense to benefit the next generation of green energy resources. ► Amphiphilic modification to maintain the alignment of ACNT for enhancement of PEMFC behaviour to provide new insights for the energy-related nanomaterials community.
