Influence of surface modification of LiCoO2 by organic compounds on electrochemical and thermal properties of Li/LiCoO2 rechargeable cells

▶ LiCoO2 surface is modified with oxidation products of organic compounds. ▶ LiCoO2 surface modified with organic compounds exhibits lower polarization than pure LiCoO2. ▶ LiCoO2 surface modified with organic compounds exhibits makes stable electrolyte/electrode interface for charge-discharge cycling even at 4.5 V charge.
