Magnetic and catalytic properties of a new copper(II)-Schiff base 2D coordination polymer formed by connected helical chains

► A 2D Cu-Schiff base helical coordination polymer bridged by dicyanamide. ► Repeating motif is a hexagonal metallacyclic pore formed by six bimetallic cores. ► Strong antiferromagnetic coupling (J = −510 cm−1). ► Catecholoxidase-like activity with high TON (Kcat = 259 h−1).
