Synthesis and structural characterization of new one- and two-dimensional lead(II) coordination polymers; new precursors for preparation of pure phase lead(II) oxide nanoparticles via thermal decomposition

► In this study, two new lead(II) coordination polymers from ligand 1,2,-di-(4-pyridyl)-ethylene(bpe) were synthesized. ► Also it has been demonstrated that different solvents could produced different structures with same raw materials. ► Also this study shows that supramolecule compounds may be suitable precursors for the preparation of nanoscale materials.
