The electronic structure of the electron-reservoir complex CpFe(hexamethylbenzene) revisited: a regular metal-centered SOMO

The reported calculations show clearly that CpFe(hexamethylbenzene) is not an exception within the 19-electron CpFe(η6-arene) electron-reservoir family. It has an iron-based SOMO like all the other members of this series.
