Polymorphism in intercluster salt system: two crystal structures of [Al13O4(OH)24(H2O)12][H2W12O40](OH) · nH2O

We report on the intercluster salt system between ε-Keggin type polycation [Al13O4(OH)24(H2O)12]7+ and α-Keggin type polyoxometalate H2W12O406-. This system produced two compounds of the same formula Al13O4(OH)24(H2O)12][H2W12O40](OH) · nH2O, but, of different modes of packing the cluster ions.
