Synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of organotin(IV) complexes with 2-benzoylpyridine-N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone (HBPCT): X-ray crystal structure of [PhSnCl2(BPCT)]

► Newly synthesized organotin(IV) complexes and characterized successfully. ► The ligand exists in two tautomeric form. ► The organotin(IV) complexes with 2-benzoylpyridine-N(4) cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone ligand is six coordinated and adopts octahedral environment. ► The ligand and its organotin(IV) complexes are stable under N2 atmosphere.
