Complexes with 6-amino-5-nitroso-2-thiouracil and violuric acid derivatives containing the fac-ReI(CO)3 core: Synthesis, XRD structural and photoluminescence characterization

► Four new complexes of rhenium with 5-nitrosopyrimidine ligands have been reported. ► XRD experiments indicate the existence of the fac-Re(CO)3 moiety. ► Pyrimidine ligands coordinate through 5-nitroso and 4-oxo groups. ► Violuric acids are deprotonated causing the replacement of chloride by water.
