Cooperative catalysis of a trinuclear ruthenium(II) complex in transfer hydrogenation of ketones by formic acid

► A trinuclear Ru(II) complex was synthesized with an amide linkage. ► The two Ru centers are converged to a vicinity by the coordination of amide oxygen. ► The two Ru centers facilitated the catalytic activity for transfer hydrogenation .
