Deprotonated diindolylmethanes as dianionic analogues of scorpionate bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligands: synthesis and structural characterization of representative titanocene and zirconocene complexes

Deprotonated di(3-methylindolyl)methanes (L2H2) are introduced as dianionic analogues of scorpionate bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligands. The synthesis and structural characterization of complexes of the type Cp2TiL2 and Cp2ZrL2 are reported.
